About Me

I am empty nester and when the last one moved out, I closed my business and was in the middle of selling everything off to travel with world when Covid19 descended on the world. When things settled down, I throw everything in my minivan and started traveling around the US. I liked it so much that I just keep doing it.

I upgrade to a Dodge Sprinter in 2023, me and Olive Oil, the pug, travel around together. Pugs are not good in extremely hot weather, so she plays with Basil, the Bulldog, and enjoys her summer vacation and I pay puppy support to a relative.

I loved history for as long as I can remember. I would take a backpack full of books plus a few bags from the local library to my house which was over 3 miles away and read everything in about a week when I was 10 year old. I think 60 books was the limit. At least 50 percent were biographies or history books and the others were fiction. It was a long walk and not always pretty as you have to cross the freeway between them.

Now that I am older, I want to see all those places that once were in my dreams as a child. See the places that these people made their marks. Everyone from Queen Elizabeth I to Laura Ingalls Wilder to Lewis & Clark to the Native Americans on the Trial of Tears to Cleopatra to just about everyone that I read about. Plus all the places that made history. Rome, Alexandria, the Badlands, London, Iceland, Germany, and more.

Unfortunately, a relative has dementia and I will be caring for them around a bit of travel when I can, listening to books (Mostly, classics that I never got around to reading), reading up on history, and keeping up an Etsy shop so that I have time to care for them but still have a bit of an income.

Come with me and Olive Oil as I travel, read the classics, relearn history, study historical people, and care for a loved one with dementia. If you feel the need to help support my site, please visit my Etsy shops for trinkets, Christmas Houses, stuffed friends, etc. They make great gifts. Going through my site give me back a bit extra. Thank you in advance!

YourDreamPlushies which is all about Beanie Babies, Boyd’s Bears, Stuffed Friends, and Figurine Friends!

VintageHolidayShops which is all about the holidays but I will say more about Christmas Houses and Village items, Hallmark Ornaments, and a bit of everything else that is holiday related.

Under3Inches which is has mainly items that are under 3 inches and items that I make like fairy houses, dollhouse items, etc. I have to be busy!

LightHouseLoversLane which is all about Lighthouses and Nautical Things.

MiniatureDreamHouse which is things that I find which are cool, classic, or neat.

And note, I started one shop as something to do with my extra time and to be creative. But I found that I love shopping. Lol. It is a lot of work but I have time on my hands at the moment.

Humans are Stupid! What is time?

I am looking at where to began in history and what I am finding is that humans are stupid! We learn lesson after lesson and just have to relearn it. It reminds me of a teacher that I had in High School and I went back a few years later to say, “Hi”. I asked him how he was and […]
